Probably you heard it many times: “how hard can producing a rubber o-ring could be”… An average layperson has no idea about many years of know-how behind your production and massive responsibility for the products you make.
Each, even tiny, inaccuracy of parameters at the press, incorrect mould lay or every small mistake, resulting in waste of energy, time and expensive silicone material. But, of course, the worst-case scenario would be if the faulty batch gets to a Client…
In Prodio, we know exactly what you need in your industry to manage production better because, in 2016, we created the first version of the software. You are welcome to use our experience instead of reinventing the wheel.
In your industry trusted us small companies:
On top of that, Prodio helps in tool shops (internal or recommended by contractors)
“For me, Prodio is a huge step forward; first and foremost, it brings organization to the company. We said goodbye to the paper version of the documents. For companies such as Rubberblack it is essential. There is no way to discuss AI in small manufacturing companies if you don’t have the basics. I am also looking forward to the latest changes in the software because it motivates me to implement them in my company, which in turn means developing it”.
Thanks to using norms for your products, you can see how many hours upfront one specific press is occupied – the status gets updated as the employees give the number of pieces finished.
It’s a good idea to include in the production plan changeovers/mould change.
One employee works on several presses – it isn’t a problem. Thanks to planning orders for particular machines and indicating who is responsible for a specific order, you can make a production plan tailored perfectly for your company, so nobody would stand idly by, waiting to be assigned a task, with the production put on hold until you finish this process.
Each new employee means that the same mistakes are repeated, and you have to solve the same old problems. You have already wasted a few thousand euros on raw materials because of errors, which could have been easily avoided if only people remembered and there was a proper knowledge database.
From now on, all company know-how finally stays – parameters are in the software, together with photographs of potential defects, elements requiring special attention, to further improve the quality.
If you strive for perfection – you can attach photographs and manuals regarding mould assembly.

1. In Settings (Settings – Additional boxes), such as ex. mould number, mould temperature, degassing times, number of slots. (see how to do it – click)
2. As attachments to a product, add photographs of example defects (based on complaints) and photographic documentation of mould mounting on machines.
3. In technology of product set machines, which are used to make it – with their production norms.
4. When you produce goods in a few colours – add them as tags to an operation to be visible on the production plan straight away.
It often happens that in your industry one operator works on several machines, so to make production plan even more transparent, apart from the order of tasks it is recommended to:
Once you create additional boxes for products, it is a must to create a box with several moulds, then number moulds accordingly to Prodio’s ID numbers or from 1 to 100 and so on.
When you organise moulds mount on machines, it’s worth marking it as additional operation (SETTINGS type), and thanks to that streamlining:
What is best to write down and set as “product” in Prodio:
A particular detail with its production technology. The following details you can add based on a copy of the first one.
Production plan – what can you set as machines/operations?
Particular injection moulding machines – best in the order, they are placed at the production hall. You can also add a quality control or breaking off.
Production plan – tips regarding displaying and planning
The order of machines best mirrors the sequence in which they are placed at the production hall. In announcements, you can give information on who works which shift and when they are starting.
Additional boxes worth adding for your branch:
To a product: – mould number – heaters temperature – vulcanisation times – additional comments for laying a mould – additional comments for mould mounting – additional comments for product’s control
Additional TAG-s at the production hall and in the product categories
